Question 1

What is a Spink and Co mattress?

Accepted Answer

A Spink and Co mattress is a luxury bed inspired by British mattress-making tradition and sold through Mattress Warehouse. The brand is known for using natural, farm-grown materials such as wool, hemp, and linen in its comfort layers, layered over micro-coils and a pocketed spring support system. The result is a breathable, responsive feel that is noticeably different from an all-foam mattress.

Question 2

What materials are used in a Spink and Co mattress?

Accepted Answer

Spink and Co mattresses use natural fibers including wool, hemp, and linen in the upper comfort layers, which help regulate temperature and wick moisture. Beneath those layers sit small micro-coils that contour to the body, followed by a zoned pocketed coil support core with reinforced edges. The natural fibers are a big reason these mattresses tend to sleep cooler than beds with thick synthetic foam layers.

Question 3

Does a Spink and Co mattress work with an adjustable base?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Spink and Co mattresses are designed to flex with an adjustable base. The pocketed coil construction and flexible edge system allow the mattress to bend at the head and foot without damaging the support layers. Pairing a Spink and Co mattress with an adjustable base is a popular option for people who like to read, watch TV, or elevate their legs in bed.

Question 4

Who is a Spink and Co mattress best for?

Accepted Answer

A Spink and Co mattress is a good fit for sleepers who prefer natural materials, a breathable sleep surface, and the supportive, buoyant feel of coils rather than deep foam sinkage. Hot sleepers often appreciate the wool and linen layers, and couples benefit from the reduced motion transfer of pocketed springs. Mattress Warehouse carries Spink and Co in several comfort levels, so it helps to try a few feels in person.

Question 5

What is the difference between a Spink and Co mattress and a memory foam mattress?

Accepted Answer

The main difference is the feel and the materials. A Spink and Co mattress uses natural fibers and coils, which create a responsive surface that is easy to move on and tends to stay cooler. A memory foam mattress conforms closely to the body with a slower, more cradling feel, which some sleepers love and others find warm. Sleepers who want pressure relief without a sink-in sensation often lean toward a Spink and Co.
